Bar Runner — Privacy Policy

Welcome to Bar Runner. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information during our field testing phase. By using the Bar Runner application ("the App"), you agree to the data practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

To provide a secure and efficient ordering experience, we collect the following types of information:

Account Information: When you authenticate using Sign in with Apple, we receive your name, email address (if shared), and a unique device identifier provided by Apple.
Profile Photographs: We require you to upload a profile photograph (a "selfie") to use the App.
Location Data: The App requests location permissions to verify you are physically present at the participating venue before an order can be submitted (geofencing).
Order History: We temporarily store records of the items you order through the App to facilitate fulfillment.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to operate the Bar Runner service:

Identity Verification: Your profile photograph and name are transmitted directly to the venue's Point of Sale system so the bartender can visually identify you when you pick up your order in a crowded environment.
Order Routing: Your location data is used to validate your proximity to the venue. (Note: Location checks are performed locally on your device to authorize the transaction; we do not track your continuous physical movements).
Fraud Prevention: We use your unique Apple identifier to ensure fair use of first-time promotional coupons and to enforce venue bans if necessary.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third-party marketers or advertisers.

Your profile photograph, name, and current order details are shared only with the staff of the specific venue you are ordering from, and only for the duration necessary to complete your transaction.

4. Data Retention and Account Deletion

You have the right to permanently delete your Bar Runner account and associated data at any time.

How to Delete Your Account: You can initiate account deletion directly within the App by navigating to the Settings menu and tapping "Delete Account". You will be required to re-authenticate with FaceID/TouchID to confirm ownership of the device.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account:

Your profile photograph, name, email address, and active order history are permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers.
Your Apple Sign-In token is actively revoked.
Exception for Fraud Prevention: To prevent promotional abuse (e.g., repeatedly deleting an account to claim new "first-order" coupons), we retain a mathematically anonymized identifier (your Apple sub ID) in a secure, isolated ledger. This identifier cannot be traced back to your name, email, or photo; it is used exclusively to determine if a device has previously claimed a promotion.

5. Security

We utilize industry-standard security measures, including AWS infrastructure and encrypted data transmission, to protect your information. However, no electronic transmission or storage system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security during this beta testing phase.
